Good African Heritage

Africa inherited vast customs and tradition. Variety of customs is incorporated in it like religion, marriage, myths, dance, language, arts and crafts and lifestyles.

Africa has thousands and millions of tribal group from its old era. An African arts and craft is very famous which includes brass and leather art works, sculptors, paintings, pottery and wood carvings. Africa people wear typical dress. Men wear loose robes and trousers with caps made up of skulls on their head. Women wear dark coloured cloak or shawls with jewellery of shells and designed skulls.

African folklore and folk tales draw the picture of their social culture that includes music and choral music in it. The rhythm of their music is very much similar to early African tribes. African art and crafts is famous for its mask from its Palaeolithic age. These masks are constructed with leather, metals, fabrics and woods. African people like dancers wear mask in festivals of crop harvesting and wars.

People follow an age old tradition of marriage known as Labola. In this system the groom get the right to marry the bride on the mutual agreement of a price to the bride. In this system the wife can not divorce her husband as her family can not pay the Labola price.  This culture is very peculiar and hardly accepted by modern generation.

African religion has a wide application in different regions. This religion is based on the belief of God, the divinities, spirits and the ancestors. The worship of God and divinities is showered through prayers, sacrifices, offerings, music and dance. Most of the people of Africa have a strong belief of spiritualism. They do not believe in temples and shrines. Trees, forests, rivers and mountains are worshipped violating the materialistic view of worship. The women find an important position in different myths of Africa. The myths represent women as mother from whom the first child took birth. Women play a significant role in the prayer of God. African people use supplements similar to tru hoodia complexes which supports their health.

An African tradition is very well known and is remembered for ever. Lots of alternative treatment methods for various conditions have been taken from the African heritage.
